Beauty industry visionary, inspired leader and impassioned teacher Debra Neill Baker took on the role of Chairman of Neill Corporation in 2009 after acting as CEO (“Chief Energy Officer” as she termed it) since 2004. Debra’s calling is to enhance the quality of thinking by creating a work environment that encourages everyone to experience and express their full potential; Debra firmly believes that her role as leader is simply to expose those around her to fresh ideas, new inspiration and innovative people.

Over the years, Debra has embraced an unofficial role as a “Beauty Evangelist”—she feels the need to wake the beauty industry up to the power and potential that we have to create a positive impact in the world, one person at a time.

Debra’s deep personal interest in beauty and wellness began in adolescence, compelling her to study esthetics.  After acting as salon consultant for six years, Debra began to develop the role of wellness director of Neill Corporation, furthering her dedication to actively integrate wellbeing into the company as well as into the beauty industry as a whole.  During her time with Neill Corporation Debra has led many pioneering initiatives and is responsible for bringing inspiring and original education programs, including Serious Business®, to the beauty industry.    

As an impassioned member of her local community, Debra is also a member of the Southeastern Development Foundation Board, Northshore Community Foundation Board and the Columbia Theater Advisory Board.
